Preparations

As mentioned at the start of the page, there will be permanent modifications done to 6 Topre housings. The purpose of these cuts is to provide clearance for the gummy O-ring mounting tab used in MX builds.

Gather two housings and cut along the indicated red line using a scissor or flush cutter.
- Discard the corner when finished.
- Ensure that the cut is clean and the bottom of the housings remains flush.
- Repeat 2 more times for a total of 6 modified housings.

PCB-Plate Assembly

With the plate screwed into the top part of the case. Install all housings and stabilizers.
- Each pair of the modified housings are marked in red. Make sure that the housing matches the alignment in the provided photo.
- It may be helpful to keep the top part elevated from the table with small books or ledges.

Install the domes and springs to the housings.
- Due to the reduced spacing, it may be necessary to slightly trim the edges of the domes to prevent interference with surrounding strips.
Carefully lay the EC PCB on top of the assembly and tighten using 35 of the M2 x 0.4 mm Thread, 8 mm Long Pan Screws.

Testing

Place the assembly on a non-conductive surface near the computer you will use to test the board.
Once you have plugged in the keyboard, open via and open the provided draft definition.
Open the “KEY TESTER” tab, enable the “test matrix” option, and ensure that all keys are working properly.
